Demand & Supply Planner

Key responsibilities: 

  • Develop and maintain accurate demand forecasts using data analysis and modeling.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather input on market trends and other factors.
  • Monitor and analyze KPIs related to demand planning and take appropriate actions.
  • Use forecasting software and tools to manage and update demand plans.
  • Support new product launches by developing demand forecasts and ensuring adequate inventory levels.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders to facilitate effective demand planning.
  • Participate in regular demand planning meetings to review performance and identify issues.
  • Stay informed about industry trends and market conditions.
  • Continuously seek out opportunities to improve demand planning processes and tools.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Maintain optimal levels of inventory to balance the cost of carrying inventory with the risk of stockouts. This involves setting reorder points, safety stock levels, and order quantities. Lead Cycle count initiatives and drive accountability and accuracy.
  • Analyze data related to inventory levels, sales trends, and customer demand. Use this data to make informed decisions about inventory management strategies.
  • Collaborate with various departments, including sales, marketing, production, and logistics, to gather information and align strategies. Effective communication is crucial for success in this role.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as inventory turnover, stockout rates, and forecast accuracy. Identify areas for improvement and implement changes as needed.
  • Identify opportunities to optimize inventory management processes and reduce costs while maintaining service levels. Implement best practices and make recommendations for process improvements.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary for collaborating with various teams and conveying information effectively.
  • Precision in managing inventory levels and forecasting demand accurately is critical to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.


Qualifications and skills: 

  • Excellent English communication skills is a necessity.
  • Minimum of 5 years of Demand Planning experience 
  • Be a strong team member.
  • Able to learn quickly and maintain a high-level of product knowledge.
  • Analytical mindset with strong data crunching abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills to present findings in a clear and concise manner.
  • Proactive and results-driven with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Sales acumen with a deep understanding of market trends and consumer behavior.
  • Creative problem-solving skills to come up with innovative solutions.
  • Adaptability to changing market dynamics and business needs.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools and software.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Familiarity with inventory management software, Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems, and data analysis tools is typically required.
  • Excellent communication skills are necessary for collaborating with various teams and conveying information effectively.
  • Precision in managing inventory levels and forecasting demand accurately is critical to prevent stockouts and minimize excess inventory.
  • The ability to identify and address issues related to inventory management and demand forecasting is important for success in this role
