Comprehensive Milk Sourcing Strategy for Spain (Canary islands included). Ensure consistent availability of high-quality milk while optimizing Total Cost of Ownership (TCO). This includes strict adherence to Schreiber's and its customers' sustainability standards—covering environmental impact reduction, support for farmers' livelihoods, and animal welfare—delivered with exceptional service performance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guarantee Compliance with Contractual Milk Quality Standards: ensure that all sourced milk meets the contractual specifications, including food safety, organoleptic properties, and any specific quality certifications such as V-log. This involves conducting quality audits of raw milk suppliers to verify compliance with technical requirements and applicable regulations. Additionally, collaborate closely with EQFS teams to resolve any issues related to milk quality. 

  • Define and Manage Strategic Milk Supply Agreements: develop and formalize framework contracts with milk producers, cooperatives, and dairy industries, covering supply capacity, geographic origin, and required physicochemical and microbiological parameters—ensuring optimal purchasing conditions. Design and lead the milk supply strategy for production plants, focusing on cost-effective management of fat and protein balances. Ensure that all milk deliveries comply with internal standards and regulatory requirements, including the application of bonus/malus pricing mechanisms. Maintain and strengthen Schreiber's market reputation through transparent and constructive negotiations with farmers.

  • Drive ESG Integration in Milk Sourcing Practices: design and actively promote Schreiber's ESG policy in milk production, focusing on key pillars such as supporting farmers' livelihoods, ensuring animal welfare, and minimizing carbon emissions. Ensure that volume allocation to farmers aligns with ISO 20400 ESG standards, reinforcing responsible and sustainable procurement practices.

  • Drive Continuous Improvement Initiatives Across Key Procurement Categories: lead and implement ongoing improvement projects focused on assigned categories, targeting cost optimization, enhanced quality standards, favorable payment terms, regulatory compliance, and robust risk management strategies.

  • Ensure Timely Reporting of Milk Market Data and Operational KPIs: deliver accurate and timely updates on raw milk pricing and other key performance indicators to internal and external stakeholders. This includes the formal submission of relevant reports and statistical data from production plants to Public Administration Authorities, such as the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, in compliance with regulatory requirements.

  • Foster Team Development and Embed Corporate Culture: provide leadership that supports the professional growth of the team, while actively promoting Schreiber's values and organizational culture. Encourage the effective use of corporate systems and tools to ensure operational excellence and alignment with company standards.


Key Ingredients:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Biology, Chemistry, Veterinary, Engineering or related field 

  • 10+ years of experience in Dairy industry or animal production

  • Fluent in English & Spanish. Other languages will be a plus. 

  • Smooth communication (both orally and in writing), discreet, and solution-oriented

  • Strong negotiation, interpersonal and leadership skills. 

  • Ability to lead and work with cross-functional teams in identifying and implementing cost-saving initiatives.  

  • Ability to work collaboratively and represent Schreiber's interests to outside parties including suppliers, industry peers and consultants.

  • Strong knowledge of the dairy sector and of dairy product manufacture, flow diagrams, equipment, analytical techniques.

  • Capable of multi-tasking and able to drive numerous programs at different points of development simultaneously. 

  • Deep knowledge of food safety systems.

  • Availability to travel up to 25% (on annual basis)
