Support the design, deployment and sustainment of the Schreiber Production System (SPS) for his/her respective domestic area/location/plant, and/or home office facilities. Leading the installation, sustainment and continuous improvement of master schedules, project management systems, layered auditing systems, problem solving systems, etc. Duties include standardizing, planning, organizing, training, coaching, troubleshooting, monitoring, evaluation and technical support.

What you'll do:

  • Supports/Sustains SPS Culture – Train, coach, mentor, educate, evaluate and reinforce SPS/PE principles with leaders, partners, and team members in formal and real-time application
  • Develop strategies, systems and methodologies that result in the general understanding and application of basic tools of SPS/PE in daily work throughout his/her respective domestic area/location/plant, and/or home office facilities with focus on identifying and eliminating variation and waste through a standardized approach
  • Lead the SPS deployment and sustainment by leveraging existing measurement criteria and processes for providing specific feedback and improvement opportunities to all levels of plant leadership
  • Provide oversight and gatekeeping responsibility for SPS/PE in his/her respective domestic area/location/plant, and/or home office facilities
  • Stay current in the latest tools and technologies that pertain to the food industry
  • Identify opportunities and deliver measurable improvement through SPS/PE efforts. 
  • Act as a center of excellence for cross-functional or plant deployment teams as they apply tools of SPS/PE to improve results in the critical areas of the business targeted by those teams.
  • Together with the leadership team, ensures compliance with Food Safety and Food Quality Plans, in addition to customer requirements. Interprets and communicates customer requirements to plant production and/or support groups. Establishes and Audits PCPs, CCPs and Standard Operating Procedures to define and monitor processes, to ensure customer requirements are met. Reviews incidents during which the procedures are not met, and determines appropriate corrective action for partners failing to follow standard procedures.

What you need to succeed:

  • Bachelors in Engineering or related field.            
  • 5+ years of experience in Operations
  • Formal Lean Six Sigma Training - Minimum CSSGB Certified and Black Belt Trained working towards Schreiber Foods BB Certification
  • Technical Competency - Six Sigma, DMAIC, DMADV, PMBOK, CIPEC, SPS, Transformational Deployment
  • Experience in Automotive, Military, Aerospace, Chemical, Food and Medical Device and other industries
  • High Volume continuous process flow experience
  • Proven completion of manufacturing related projects with demonstrated success and financial results
  • Proficiency in Office, Minitab, and simulation software
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • DFSS knowledge or experience preferred
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to facilitate cross-functional teams and build strong working relationships
  • Deployment/consultant experience
  • Ability to travel up to 20%
