We are looking for a Dairy Processing Operator to join our team! We specialize in cream cheese – that meet our customers' needs and appeal to consumer tastes worldwide.

Rate of Pay:
  • $27.45 per hour ($25.95 plus $1.50 certification pay)
  • Shift premium of $0.50 per hour for 2nd and $1.00 per hour for 3rd shift.
  • We are offering a $2,000 sign on bonus paid out over 12 months for third shift positions providing successful employment and attendance.
Shift/Schedule:
  • 1st Shift - 5:45am - 1:45pm

  • 2nd Shift - 1:45pm - 9:45pm

  • 3rd Shift - 9:45pm to 5:45am

Overtime is expected and weekend work likely. Overtime is paid on 8+ hours in a day, time and half paid on Saturdays and double time paid on Sundays. Pay Frequency is bi-weekly on Fridays.

Standard work week also includes a guaranteed 40 hour.

Job Duties:
  • Operate cheese separators to remove whey from cheese mix producing uniform cream cheese within customer specifications

  • Use computer to calculate quantities of raw materials needed to batch cream cheese mix for following day's separating

  • Operate pasteurizing equipment to produce mix based on these calculations.  Make necessary adjustments, if needed, based on laboratory test results to adjust mix within customer product specifications.

  • Take samples and test solids of cream cheese products in standardizing system and adjust, if needed, within customer product specifications. Complete all paperwork associated with regulatory requirements.

  • Complete all paperwork associated with equipment settings, products produced, and work performed

  • Make cream cheese blend for following day's production or to expedite for same day's use

  • Perform CIP, COP, and various cleanup functions on tanks, transfer lines, pasteurizer, and vats, as needed

  • Transfer raw products, as needed, between tanks

  • Supply laboratory techs with samples of raw materials, and cheese mix for testing, as needed

  • Provide a detailed pass down to the incoming relief

  • Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds repetitively

  • No high school diploma

  • Basic math included %, decimal placement, averaging and basic computer skills
  • Manufacturing experience
  • 3-5 years manufacturing operating experience preferred
  • Self-motivated, detail orientated individual who possesses a results-oriented mindset
  • One who works well in a team environment as well as independently, and has a proactive "can-do" mentality
