THE OPPORTUNITY:

We have an exciting opportunity for a Corporate Associate with 3-5 years of experience to join our Chicago, Houston, New York or Seattle office.

You'll be a member of our consistently ranked and nationally recognized Corporate practice group.   Learn more about our Corporate (M&A) Department.

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

As an Associate in the Corporate Department, you'll have the opportunity to work on interesting, challenging, and groundbreaking cases in collaboration with senior attorneys. 

YOU HAVE:

• 3-5 years of substantial M&A experience
• Experience and expertise in drafting definitive purchase agreements and ancillary documents as well as managing due diligence and managing the M&A process efficiently
• The ability to interact confidently with clients, counterparties and colleagues
• The ability to manage smaller transactions, be capable of independent responsibility for major documentation and components of larger transactions
• Experience supervising, mentoring and inspiring junior associates
• Law firm experience preferred, but a combination of law firm and in-house experience will be considered
• Excellent academic credentials, analytical skills and verbal and written communication skills
• Candidates must be admitted to the Bar of the state for which they are applying or meet the requirements to waive in

The salary range for this role is $240,000 to $300,000. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in Illinois, Texas, New York or Washington.  This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
