THE OPPORTUNITY:

As the Technical Support Specialist (TSS), you will be responsible for assisting attorneys and staff with technical problems or questions related to computer hardware or software either desk side, phone, or email. You will support conference room equipment, video conferences, web conferences, and events.

 

THE DAY-TO-DAY:

On any given day, you will:

  • Provide a high level of technical support desk side and remotely for hardware and software with a focus on client satisfaction
  • Analyze and make decisions/judgments about technology challenges and problems
  • Assist with identifying technology, training, and customer service improvements
  • Build and maintain positive and proactive service relationships within TSG and with Firm customers through project team membership, proactive incident and problem resolution, teamwork, and effective communication
  • Perform troubleshooting, research and documentation of incidents and problems
  • Utilize incident management system to properly document and escalate issues as they are reported
  • Ensure that escalations from the Service Desk are prioritized properly and status communicated to the client in a timely matter
  • Collaborate within the larger IT support team to ensure the highest level of customer support and resolution
  • Seek and identify opportunities to enhance the clients experience with the Firm's technology
  • Responsible for the planning, preparation, and success of video conferences, web conferences, and events
  • Ensure that all office integrated conference rooms are kept in appropriate working order
  • Manage IT hardware assets and accurately maintains asset counts
  • Facilitate and promote a team culture that encourages ownership of team goals, trust, respect, and strong cross collaboration throughout the Firm
  • Assist with after-hours client service delivery, system maintenance, and projects as needed
 

YOU HAVE:

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent Experience
  • Minimum of two years of general IT support experience in law firm or professional services organization.
  • Working knowledge with the Microsoft Office Suite and Windows operating system within a professional services organization
  • Knowledge and support of various mobile devices
  • Knowledge of hardware (desktop/laptop) deployment methods
  • Knowledge of audio video, web conferencing, and conference scheduling technology
  • High level of client service orientation
  • Ability to handle conflict and difficult situations within a technical and client service environment
  • Exceptional communication abilities to all levels of personnel
  • Self-motivated and the ability to execute tasks and make decisions in a high-pressure environment
  • Understanding of growing IT security trends and the ability to adhere and convey IT Security policies to attorneys and staff
  • Certifications a plus (A+, Network +, MOS, ITIL Foundations, etc.)

Pursuant to the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance, we will consider for employment qualified applicants with arrest and conviction records.

 

The salary range for this role is $88,000 to $97,000 annually, which is based on a 40 hour work week. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in San Francisco, CA. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee's pay within the salary range will be based on numerous factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for an annual merit increase and bonus pay.
