The Joint, Office of the Secretary of Defense, Interagency Division provides expert support services to a range of customers spanning across the Department of Defense, Federal Civilian, and international markets. JOID provides a diverse portfolio of analytical and programmatic capabilities to help our customers make informed decisions on their most challenging issues. The Industry and Security Analysis Group (ISAG) within JOID provides analytical, technical, and program support to promote, grow, and protect the U.S. industrial base. ISAG's support spans the Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Commerce, and other agencies to deliver critical decision support to national security leaders. Our team informs policy decisions, enables execution of comprehensive strategies and monitors and reports on the effectiveness of implementation. This enables senior leaders to execute strategies for developing and sustaining a robust industrial base that meets our nation's strategic resource objectives. From policy to practice, we are a team of economic and national security professionals providing innovative solutions for our Nation's most pressing security challenges. We have an immediate need for an experienced Business Intelligence Analyst to provide onsite support at the Mark Center in Alexandria, VA. Responsibilities The Business Intelligence Analyst will support the Global Investments and Economic Security mission to protect DoD/DoW equities from adversarial foreign investment risks at home and abroad by delivering financial and economic-focused national security risk analyses and mitigation proposals to decision-makers to address national security concerns. The Business Intelligence Analyst will provide financial, economic, and threat analysis support to develop a variety of analytic products. Will integrate subject matter expertise and market analysis, leveraging business intelligence tools to connect large, diverse data sources from government, commercial, and open sources to empower decision-making. Will research and assess foreign companies' business operations and foreign investment activities that may present national security considerations, as well as evaluate the competitiveness of U.S. industries and markets in critical and emerging technologies for the Department of Defense/Department of War, and will collaborate across relevant offices within the Department. Qualifications Required: Active TS/SCI clearance Bachelor's degree in a field related to Business, Finance, Economics 7+ years of relevant commercial or government experience involving business intelligence or open-source intelligence Experience with commercial or industrial base trend analysis, supply chain analysis, and market assessments Ability to research complex financial and economic topics and develop on short notice concise, informative products for senior leaders Able to work fully onsite based on client needs Desired: Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE), or Certified in Financial or Forensics (CFF) Master's degree in Business, Finance, or Economics Military Intelligence experience
