The Joint Defense Support Group (JDSG), within SPA's Sea Land Air (SLA) Division, supports the Surface Community and components of the United States Navy by providing program management, requirements management, force development, and readiness support in Washington DC and the Fleet concentration areas. We provide timely, objective, analytic assessments, strategic planning, and expert operational, technical, and acquisition support to the Maritime communities, and related agencies, allies, and partners. We are trusted agents of the senior and operational leadership in the Fleet, OPNAV, NAVSEA, and the Royal Canadian and Royal Australian Navies. We play key roles in providing insights and strategies to address current and emerging challenges to national security and have tremendous impact on our client's success in solving their most important issues.#MC Responsibilities In this role, you will be called upon to provide day-to-day project management support, including planning, coordination, development, and execution of lines of effort and initiatives within the OPNAV N1 Public Affairs Office's social media marketing efforts. The candidate will manage OPNAV N1's social media channels to ensure consistent, effective communication of the command's messaging to a broad audience. This role will also develop and implement social media strategies that drive measurable engagement, enhance return on investment, and strengthen enterprise-wide awareness. Support enterprise-level social media sync meetings, maintaining coordination and alignment among managers and representatives across commands on social media initiatives. Ability to develop weekly and quarterly reports summarizing social media performance, sentiment, environment trends, and leadership-level insights. Setting and achieving personnel-focused strategic goals, maintaining an audience-driven content calendar. Ability to collaborate with Navy partners to execute integrated products and campaigns. Support media monitoring and daily news clips management. Understanding of social listening and analytics tools (such as Sprout Social, Meltwater, Talkwalker), leveraging automation and data correlation to identify opportunities, challenges, narratives, and wins Conduct social listening rounds across platforms to assess and address key personnel-related conversations and topics. Qualifications Required Qualifications: Reports to Naval Support Facility, Arlington, on a full time basis, with limited telework authorized. 7 Years of Strategic Communications or Social Media Marketing experience with an active SECRET clearance. Bachelor's Degree in marketing, communications, or similar. Proven experience using social media analytics and management tools such as Sprout Social to assess campaign performance, inform strategy, and optimize future content. Demonstrated ability to translate complex policies and initiatives into clear, engaging social media campaigns aligned with an established brand and audience. Ability to develop weekly and quarterly reports summarizing social media performance, sentiment, environment trends, and 3 star leadership-level insights. Desired Qualifications: Familiarity with Navy programs, plans, and personnel, and the ability to quickly learn and apply Department of the Navy and Department of Defense social media policies. Strong skills in related community management, including real-time team engagement, issue resolution, and accurate information sharing to close conversation loops. Ability to collaborate with Navy partners to execute integrated products and campaigns.
