Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related technical discipline (may substitute with a minimum of 5 years relevant work experience).
- Five or more years of system administration experience with Windows Server (2016, 2019) operating systems and in-depth knowledge of Activity Directory, Azure DNS, and Group Policy.
- Three (3) or more years of experience managing Microsoft enterprise applications such as Microsoft 365, SQL Server, SharePoint, and other supporting technologies.
- Three (3) more years of experience working in a hybrid Azure / on-premises environment.
- At least (1) year experience working with and maintaining data center class server hardware, storage solutions, and networking components.
- Three (3) years of experience configuring virtualized servers using platforms such as Hyper-V, and/or VMWare.
- Ability to lead projects, self-manage time, and work both independently with minimal oversight and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Must have active DoD SECRET clearance and must maintain clearance while employed with SPA.
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience managing and monitoring endpoints with Microsoft Azure Intune
- Some experience with managing and configuring Red Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Ability to program to solve problems and automate tasks in common scripting or programming languages such as PowerShell.
- DoD approved 8570 certification(s) for IAT/IAM Level II. Acceptable certifications include (but are not limited to) the following: CCNA Security, SySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, SSCP, CAP, CASP CE, CISM, CISSP, GSLC.
Responsibilities
The Systems Administrator will be responsible for installation, configuration and support of servers, operating systems, cloud resources and databases. Responsibilities include building, installing and configuring physical and virtual servers; deploying and testing operating system updates, application troubleshooting, performance tuning and monitoring; developing sever and application maintenance procedures; documenting system architectures; managing endpoints using Microsoft Intune.; assisting in the administration of enterprise-wide applications such as Microsoft 365 and SharePoint in an Active Directory /Azure environment; applying foundational knowledge of data center hardware and networking technologies as they relate to application functionality to resolve complex technical issues; interfacing with vendors to troubleshoot and repair equipment; and other duties as assigned. This position also requires the ability to communicate ideas, issues, technical solutions, and processes clearly to both junior- and senior-level colleagues. #CJ
