Position Summary:

We are seeking a talented Software Engineer II with Full Stack development experience to collaborate with our internal and external account management team. In this role, you will play a vital part in enhancing, designing, developing, and testing programs that facilitate the management of reverse logistics and operational processes. Your work will contribute to the satisfaction of our customers and the overall success of our supply chain operations.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Accept mentorship by the Project Manager and Senior Software Engineers for methods and procedures
  • Study the software databases and code 
  • Collaborate on building new features, investigate bugs, and assist in maintaining existing web applications written in PHP
  • Develop assigned new code for web-based software solutions supporting the supply chain and reverse logistics industry
  • Ensure exceptional code quality and thorough testing (both at unit and system integration level) on every newly developed feature
  • Translate business requirements into technical understanding of the functions and features required and perform implementations to the specification
  • Contribute to improving the quality and design of the existing code base
  • Provide technical problem resolution for less complex problems
  • Perform data integrity tests and validation, analyzing output from given scenarios. Identify production issues and process flow requirements, interviewing and working with users to improve output and data integrity
  • The ability to translate user needs and requests to technical processes and understanding the job requirements and systems design
  • Help define reporting needs, outline and execute required data resources to accomplish desired output. Write programs for reporting and other system needs
  • Experience in Agile related environment/Agile type of development (short sprints, etc.)
  • Outline and attain data requisites from customers. Manage input/output flow and requirements and interfaces needed to port data in to and from SQL and adjoining systems
  • Develop and maintain utility programs and scripts to automate conversion tasks
  • Generate, maintain and manage flowcharts of systems and processes
  • Work in an Agile or Waterfall environment, participating in short sprints and development cycles.
  • Manage data requisites from customers, including input/output flow and SQL interfaces.

Working Conditions:

This position involves primarily working in a controlled atmosphere, with occasional exposure to dust, fumes, noise, and varying temperatures for short periods. The role requires regular use of hands, fingers, and the ability to talk and hear. Adherence to safety standards, Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas is mandatory. This position offers partial remote work, allowing up to 60% of the workweek to be performed remotely.


Job Specifications

Education & Experience:

  • Associates Degree or higher in Computer Information Systems or related field with an emphasis in programming
  • PREFERRED: Bachelor's or higher in Computer Information Systems or related field with an emphasis in programming
  • 2-3 years of programming experience as a full stack developer
  • PREFERRED: 5 years of programming experience, with proven experience in programming and database structures in PHP, MySQL, or NodeJS

  • Technology: Solid computer proficiency with an in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office & Windows based programs. Working knowledge with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, e-mail, and Web-enabled applications.
