POSITION SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, this position is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and overall upkeep of the organization's buildings, equipment, and grounds. This hands-on role ensures that the facility operates efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all regulations and company standards.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance of HVAC, plumbing, lighting, and electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and structural issues as they arise.
- Respond to maintenance work orders and emergency repair requests promptly.
- Maintain clean and organized maintenance areas and tools.
- Monitor building systems and energy usage to identify inefficiencies.
- Assist with setting up and dismantling office equipment, furniture, and workspace modifications.
- Support janitorial and landscaping vendors and oversee contracted services when necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and scheduled maintenance.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA and other relevant safety and building codes.
- Assist in snow removal, parking lot maintenance, or other seasonal facility needs.
- Participate in and support the principles of Open Book Management and recognize the responsibilities of being an owner of the company.
- Required to follow safety standards. Required to wear all personal protective equipment in designated areas.
- Work attendance must be exemplary.
- 5+ years of maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment working with electrical and maintenance components.
- College experience or technical school experience
- Mathematical Skills
- Reasoning Ability
- MIG welding experience.
- Experience operating manual mills and lathes to machine custom parts.
- HVAC experience.
- Single and 3 phase electrical installation and troubleshooting experience.
- Computer literacy/experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
