Hybrid Opportunity with travel to London/Basildon

We have an exciting opportunity for a Director Of Digital Products for the Funds/ Asset Management space to develop and execute our product strategy and launch solutions that support SS&C's overall strategy and goals.  

SS&C plays a critical role in the Funds industry globally, and this role will allow the successful candidate to collaborate with clients, technologists, and innovators to shape and define the Digital Solutions that empower Asset Managers, Investors and Advisors daily.  This is a high-profile role within our organisation, and we are looking for a leader, with vision and passion. 

Your Responsibilities 

Develop and execute a comprehensive digital product strategy aligned with business objectives, market trends, and customer insights.  

Define clear product vision, goals, and roadmap to drive product innovation and differentiation.  

Product Development: Lead the conceptualisation, prioritisation, and execution of digital product initiatives. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business and user needs into actionable product requirements.  

Drive the agile product development process to deliver high-quality digital solutions on time and within budget.  

Market Analysis: Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify market opportunities, trends, and customer pain points.  

Leverage insights to inform product strategy, feature prioritisation, and go-to-market planning.  

User Experience (UX) Design: Champion user-centric design principles to create intuitive and engaging digital experiences. 

Collaborate with UX/UI designers to ensure seamless user journeys, effective information architecture, and compelling visual design.  

Product Performance: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the success and impact of digital products. Analyse product performance data, customer feedback, and usability testing results to iterate on product features and enhance user satisfaction. 

Stakeholder Management: Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including executive leadership, business units, technology partners, and regulatory bodies. Communicate product vision, strategy, and progress effectively to gain alignment and support.  

Compliance and Risk Management: Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in the development and deployment of digital products. Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to mitigate risks and uphold data security and privacy standards. 

Team Leadership: Provide strategic direction, mentorship, and coaching to a team of product managers, designers, and developers. Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous learning to drive high performance and employee engagement. 

Your Experience 

  • We seek a strong understanding of customer's needs, especially in the Funds/Asset Management industry, the competitive environment including our position to competitors, and the market forces needed to launch a successful product solution. 
  • A master's degree and eight years of related experience, or a bachelor's degree and ten years of related experience, or a high school degree and 12 years of related experience.
  • Demonstratable leadership ability in client discussions. Should be able to show engagements in industry user groups and client forums. 
  • Evidence of market analysis anticipates industry direction, evaluates the feasibility and financial justification for new products and/or new releases of existing products, and identifies requirements for future and current products in the context of the company's strengths and capabilities, technologies, quality, costs, customer interactions, and marketplace demands. 
  • Ability to define target prospects and assist sales in lead generation. Oversees the product life cycle from conception through retirement. 
  • Works closely with functional teams, including technical architecture and development teams, to ensure that appropriate processes are being adhered to to meet financial, timing, and customer expectations.  
  • Possesses knowledge of overall product development processes and marketing strategy and has analysis/project management mindsets to thrive in a demanding environment. 
  • A leader with broad operational or functional responsibilities who participates with other senior leaders or executives to establish and ensure the achievement of strategic plans and objectives.  
  • Demonstrates in-depth company knowledge, specialised skills, and influence to solve critical and complex issues.  
  • Participates in the development and administration of broad-scope programs and projects that have a significant impact on operational or functional success.
