Job Title: Healthcare Security Analyst

Locations: Kansas City, MO | Hybrid 6x a month (Hiring locally only)

What You Will Get To Do:

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of HITRUST Common Security Framework (CSF) requirements by providing security expertise, documentation support and audit preparation.
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to advise on security control requirements
  • Collaborate with external HITRUST assessors and auditors throughout the certification process
  • Support preparation for future HITRUST AI certification initiatives
  • Perform security risk assessments, gap analyses and control reviews for pharmacy and medical claims processing systems and data flows to identify potential vulnerabilities and recommend remediation
  • Monitor security incidents and coordinate incident response activities
  • Support penetration testing and remediation activities
  • Review and assess security architecture for new systems and applications
  • Support Business Associate Agreement (BAA) reviews and vendor security assessments
  • Contribute to ongoing security awareness training and communication initiatives across the health organization

What You Will Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Security, Cybersecurity, Information Systems, or related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience in information security, preferably in healthcare or insurance
  • Previous experience with HIPAA, HITECH, HITRUST CSF, NIST and other healthcare security and privacy regulations
  • Experience with risk management frameworks, security assessments and audit support
  • Good written and verbal communication skills; ability to clearly document and present technical information to non-technical stakeholders

Certifications (Preferred)

  • CISSP, CISA, CISM, or equivalent security certification
  • Healthcare-specific certifications (CHPS, HCISPP) a plus
