What You Will Get To Do:           

The Transition Manager is responsible for managing new and/or existing APAC Fund Services client BPO Transitions and Client Implementations. Delivering these requirements with passion whilst ensuring high quality outcomes and client experience. Transition Managers ensure initiatives are completed on time and within budget, objectives are met, via a group of people working together to achieve a set of specific objectives. Transition Managers oversee each initiative to ensure the desired result is achieved, the most efficient resources are used, and the different interests involved are satisfied.

  • Responsibility for Transitions, from the Discovery Phase through to Delivery execution, liaising and working with BPO teams, fund managers, custodians and other interested third parties.
  • The Transition Manager is responsible for ensuring all tasks associated with each initiative are completed, other teams are communicated to and are aware of timing.
  • Transition Managers must be comfortable with participating in, and driving operational process design with clients, in conjunction with the Fund Manager, Business Consultants, Business Analysts, Data Migration and Integration teams, SMEs, and interested third parties (i.e., vendors, Custodians, Fund Accountants, Banks)
  • Agreeing initiative objectives, effectively scoping each project
  • Setting and delivering via standard and best practice methodologies.
  • Taking responsibility throughout the entire delivery lifecycle
  • Communicating with stakeholders to clarify the desired outcome of each initiative.
  • Ensuring that all best practice processes are followed.
  • Administering the allocation of jobs and management of financials.
  • Managing project personnel to achieve objectives.
  • Review and analyse scope and submitting progress reports to stakeholders and senior managers.
  • Stakeholder management - internal and external
  • Identifying and Management of risks, issues, and dependencies.
  • Negotiating with suppliers and sub-contractors.

What You Will Bring:

  • 10+ years Financial Services and Delivery experience (e.g., Asset Servicing – Transfer Agency, Custody, Fund Accounting, Funds Management, Superannuation, Pension Funds)
  • Experience managing transitions projects such as Client onboardings, Client exits, Fund Launches, Fund Closures, Restructures, and/or tangible involvement in related multi-stream projects.
  • Polished and demonstrable interpersonal and client-engagement skills with strong ability to delegate and provide direction to specialist staff.
  • Strong experience using Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence, Xray), SharePoint & Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience with relevant industry software and tools/service providers – e.g., Transfer Agency/Custodian/FA applications, Client Reporting tools, Digital Investor/Client Portals, Payment, and reporting systems (SWIFT, Calastone, Banking portals), Reconciliation tools, Mail houses.
