Job Title: Senior Associate

What You Will Get to Do: 

  • Review and validate property-level financials, including general ledgers maintained by third-party property managers.  

  • Ensure timely and accurate monthly and quarterly closes in line with reporting deadlines.  

  • Review lease-related accounting (e.g., rent escalations, straight-line rent, CAM reconciliations) and ensure compliance with policies.  

  • Support acquisition and disposition activities, including transaction review, proration calculations, and accounting entries.  

  • Coordinate with capital markets on debt-related activities, including borrowings, refinancings, covenant compliance, and lender reporting.  

  • Act as primary liaison for third-party accountants and provide guidance on accounting policies, processes, and system usage (e.g., Yardi)  

  • Review capital expenditures, WIP accounts, and capitalization to ensure proper accounting treatment.  

  • Partner with asset management and fund accounting teams to support cash flow projections, reporting, and financial statement preparation.  

  • Support audits and tax processes by providing required schedules, documentation, and responses. 

What You Will Bring: 

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance  

  • 3+ years of commercial real estate or property accounting experience  

  • Strong understanding of property-level accounting concepts and financial reporting  

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with Yardi or similar systems preferred.  

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
