About the Role

The role is based within our EMEA Funds Services team located in our Dublin office. EMEA Fund Services is the department within SS&C primarily focused on providing Administration services for Hedge Funds / Fund of Funds / Institutional Asset Managers as well as Family Wealth offices.  The role is based within the group that specialises in servicing Managed Account and multi-fund platforms across the globe.

SS&C are seeking a Senior Associate to work in our Fund Accounting team. The position involves actively managing the service deliverables to a key client by working with the client aligned service group to ensure all end to end service deliverables are met on a daily basis.

The successful applicant will need to work across the internal service groups and although will have an accounting background, will be expected to understand the day to day operational processing. You will also be building partnerships with their clients and ensuring that the services we provide allow the client to grow their business confident in our performance

Your Responsibilities

In this position your key responsibilities will include:

• Hedge Fund NAV Production and sign-off.
• Perform and review Daily P&L delivery.
• Investor Allocations and Reporting.
• Understanding and Implementing Fund Prospectus and  Governing  Documentation on SS&C Systems
• Set up and review of management and performance fees.
• Demonstrate a good Knowledge of Accounting Standards (IAS, IFRS, US GAAP) and provide Oversight of the Year End Fund Audit.
• Delivering efficiencies through automation, Standardisation and STP of processes.
• Assessing and ensuring industry best practices are achieved.
• Oversight of error reports; assessment of control failure and management of control improvements.
• Maintain a robust risk and control framework around our all deliverables.
• Working closely with investor services team to ensure smooth subscription/redemption process.
• Reconciliation Breaks processing.
• Supporting Account Manager team for a large EMEA Fund Administration client specialising in Managed Account Platforms
• Work closely with the client to understand their needs and service requirements and formulising account plans
• Responsible for participating and managing client and trading advisor issues and projects through to satisfactory resolution across all functions.

Your Experience

• Demonstrated track record of client management in the financial sector – specifically on Hedge Funds
• 3+ years' of relevant industry experience in an accounting environment.
• Industry/Accounting Qualifications preferred
• Proven track record working with Hedge Funds
• Able to work well under pressure and providing solutions to complex problems
• Ability to work independently and in a team under tight deadlines
• Maintain and display a high level of professionalism when dealing with clients, investors and colleagues
• Project management experience and skills is advantageous
• Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Microsoft project A third level qualification preferred in a finance or business-related area
• Experience of running reconciliations and resolving breaks an advantage.
• Understanding of Middle/Back Office services advantage.
• Knowledge of OTC product lifecycle  preferred (collateral, reconciliations, settlements)
• Operations in Fund Services experience preferred
