Senior DBA - PostgreSQL

Overall job purpose:

As a part of Global Investor and Distribution Solutions (GIDS) Platform Services team, we provide enterprise data platforms that enable our company to publish, share and consume data with ease, while ensuring that the platforms adhere to security, privacy and governance policies. 

You will be a valued member of an international team with members in different locations and time zones, working together to provide robust and high performing data platforms to the organization.

Responsibilities:

Your day-to-day work will consist of:

• Manage all aspects of day-to-day PostgreSQL operations including build new servers, patching, upgrade, backup, refresh, managing users, performance tuning and helping users with queries tuning
• Participate in on-call rotation schedule
• Work with teams in Thailand, India, US, UK, Ireland, Canada and more to support day-to-day requests
• Ensure our system comply with regulatory, security, privacy and audit requirements.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Management Information System or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Over 5 years experience of database administration and maintenance with minimum 3 years experience of managing PostgreSQL
• Linux system experience including shell scripting
• Willingness to expand to other databases or data related solutions in the future

Advantages

• DevOps skills such as CI/CD, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, Container, Grafana, Prometheus, etc.
