Hybrid Opportunity - London/Basildon
About the role
As a Senior member of the DevOps team, you will have responsibility for supporting existing DevOps tools in addition to designing & building new capabilities. You are comfortable providing technical leadership and guidance to junior members of the team and provide task management.
This role will primarily be supporting the SS&C managed services platform which hosts in-house developed software applications for our customers on AWS.
Your Responsibilities
Maintain the existing CI/CD pipeline (Octopus Deploy, TeamCity, git/TFS, PowerShell)
Assess and build new monitoring capabilities across on-premises & cloud-hosted environments
Design and implement new automation solutions using existing DevOps tools
Manage the design and implementation of new pipelines
Support implementation of our next-generation product stack (Microservices, Terraform, EKS, Consul, Vault)
Work with our Cloud Engineers to develop AWS Solutions
Your Experience
IT degree, or equivalent experience
5+ years experience working in AWS in a DevOps role
Experience deploying and operating Kubernetes at scale
Experience with on-premise / cloud hybrid systems.
Strong experience with IaC, in particular Terraform.
Experience with GitOps tool is a bonus.
Working knowledge of observability tools, preferably Grafana and Prometheus.
