Job Description
Frontend Development: Extremely fluent in building production grade UIs (primarily with React.js + CSS3/Tailwind) that are extensively used by our clients globally. The candidate should primarily be comfortable navigating through the javascript ecosystem and be abreast with the latest trends in the world of frontend development - State Management, Data Visualizations, Performance Optimizations, Responsive Design, Frontend Build tools, etc. Should religiously be disciplined in maintaining healthy test coverage (unit + integration + end-to-end). Knowledge of Selenium / Cypress / Playwright is a Plus.
Backend Development: Should have had a solid track record of delivering data-intensive applications to production on a monthly basis. Extensive hands-on development of products primarily using Python and its ecosystem of scientific libraries. Expected to have in-depth knowledge of various best practices in the industry along with writing clean and efficient code. Should be quite comfortable picking up any async-based framework (FastAPI, AIOHTTP, Tornado, etc) from Python open-source community and deliver solutions that scale. Expected to have a thorough knowledge of RESTful API design and development. Should religiously be disciplined in maintaining healthy test coverage (unit + integration + end-to-end).
AI: A never-ending enthusiasm to learn the latest trends in the world of deep learning, and come up with ideas to either replace or adapt legacy / existing systems to smarter alternatives using language models. Would be a bonus if the candidate has a proven past experience in this space. Effective with prompt-engineering is an expectation.
Devops, Version Control and Workflow Management: Proficient with version control using Git, including workflows such as GitFlow. Experience with Docker is a must and possibly Kubernetes for container management and orchestration. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions. Having a very good understanding of Apache Airflow is a Plus!.
Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Effective in communication skills for collaborating with team members and stakeholders. Would help if already had an experience working in Agile teams (Scrum / Kanban)
