The Senior Portfolio Manager independently oversees and manages a complex portfolio of unique and illiquid assets, such as real estate, oil & gas interests, notes and mortgages, and closely held businesses. This role is integral in both daily portfolio administration and strategic asset oversight, typically within a fiduciary trust or investment management setting. The individual serves as both an internal expert and client-facing advisor, delivering comprehensive asset management solutions and helping mitigate institutional risk.

What You Will Get To Do:
Portfolio & Asset Management
Independently manage a large and diverse portfolio of unique assets held in trust, including: Oil, gas, and mineral interests, Residential, commercial, and agricultural real estate, Notes, mortgages, and closely held businesses
Administer mineral assets: lease negotiation, title analysis, revenue verification, division orders, and joint interest billing.
Oversee leasing, sales, repairs, appraisals, inspections, insurance, and third-party property management.
Coordinate agricultural property oversight through external providers.
Client Onboarding & Account Management
Collaborate with clients and internal teams to onboard new trust accounts, ensuring accurate asset intake and seamless transition.
Provide day-to-day management of trust-held assets, maintaining compliance and fiduciary standards.
Act as a trusted advisor to clients, delivering tailored asset strategies and resolving account-related issues proactively.
Fiduciary Oversight & Risk Mitigation
Conduct thorough pre-acceptance and post-acceptance reviews of unique assets.
Apply fiduciary principles to asset acceptance, administration, and risk assessment.
Interpret legal trust documents and ensure compliance with trust and estate regulations.
Serve as a gatekeeper to protect the institution from risk associated with complex asset holdings.
Internal Collaboration & Subject Matter Expertise
Partner with trust officers, portfolio managers, and external advisors to deliver high-quality service.
Act as the internal expert on assigned assets, ensuring effective administration and strategic guidance.
Foster long-term client relationships through consistent communication and deep expertise.
What You Will Bring:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, real estate, accounting, or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate, oil & gas, or trust/estate administration.
Proven experience managing unique assets within a fiduciary or investment management setting.
Strong knowledge of: Real estate and mineral rights, Lease structuring and title analysis, Agricultural property management
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and asset management systems.
Excellent analytical, communication, and negotiation skills.
Deep understanding of fiduciary and trust administration principles.
Self-motivated, collaborative, and detail-oriented.
