What You'll Be Doing
Strategic & Operational Support
- Partner closely with the CIO to manage and track IT strategic initiatives, priorities, and outcomes to create efficiencies.
- Coordinate across development, infrastructure, security, and data teams to support project delivery and performance reporting.
- Lead the development of clear, standardised dashboards and insights for IT initiatives.
Project Leadership & Governance
- Drive small to mid-size projects from planning to delivery—ensuring visibility, momentum, and measurable outcomes.
- Facilitate sprint planning, retrospectives, and delivery tracking.
- Support IT program and project delivery, tracking milestones, KPIs, and risk factors.
- Participate in root cause analysis and post-incident reviews for critical systems.
- Identify and recommend process improvements and automation opportunities across IT operations.
Cloud & DevOps Focus
- Act as a technical liaison for AWS-hosted infrastructure—tracking cost, performance, and service usage.
- Collaborate on DevOps pipelines, deployment automation, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Monitor and enhance system reliability.
CIO Administrative Support
- Serve as a key liaison between the CIO and technical/project teams.
- Assist in preparing board-level and senior stakeholder reports, presentations, and briefings.
- Help manage the CIO's calendar, communications, and priority workflows.
Technical Skills
- Solid understanding of DevOps tools and methodologies (e.g., Git, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform).
- Strong knowledge of software development practices, preferably in Agile environments.
- Experience with SQL databases and DBA tasks, including performance tuning and monitoring.
- Ability to design and deliver standardised reporting dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, Excel).
Project & Analytical Skills
- Minimum 3–5 years in a Project Manager, Technical Business Analyst, or PMO-type role.
- Strong experience with project reporting, financial tracking, and executive-level presentation.
- Excellent analytical, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
Soft Skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
- High attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Who You Are
You don't need to tick every single box to apply, but we'd love it if you bring:
Technical Experience
- 3–6 years in IT, project coordination, or technical business analysis roles.
- Familiarity with AWS cloud services.
- Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and automation tooling.
- Hands-on Jira administration, including managing boards, users, and custom workflows.
- Exposure to database performance and tuning (SQL Server, PostgreSQL, or similar).
- Competence in reporting tools (Power BI, Excel, or similar).
Project & Communication Skills
- Confident leading stand-ups, tracking progress, and surfacing blockers.
- Ability to communicate complex technical ideas to non-technical stakeholders.
- Comfortable multitasking and context-switching in a high-energy environment.
Preferred (But Not Required):
- AWS, DevOps, or PM certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner, PMP, Scrum Master).
- Background in software development or scripting a plus.
