Responsible for gathering diagnostic information through the use of radioactive materials administered intravenously; sophisticated radiation detecting, processing and imaging equipment and providing radioactive materials for use by physicians. This position works closely with other healthcare team members to facilitate exceptional patient care and efficient completion of diagnostic studies and procedures while also promoting optimal unit operations. The Nuclear Medicine Technologist adheres to the SDHC ICARE values standards while maintaining a clean, efficient, and safe work environment.
Preferred: One - Two year's experience as a Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist
Required: Graduation from an accredited Nuclear Medicine program
Required: Nuclear Medicine Board Certified (CNMT) or ARRT(N); Current TDH license; Current basic CPR certification; ACLS required within months of hire
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision required.
Ability to prioritize and perform multiple exams/exam types. Uses complex scanners and computer equipment.
Handles confidential information daily.
Must be able to demonstrate understanding of HCA's and St. David's “Patients First” safety initiative by strict compliance to all safety protocols and procedures.
