The Vermont Veterans' Home (VVH) is a skilled nursing facility seeking a compassionate and motivated Nurse Supervisor to join our team in providing care to our veterans and members with the dignity and respect that they so rightfully deserve. Nursing Supervisors work with the resident providers, administration and manage nursing care plans, as well as instruct patients and their families in proper treatment for the highest level of function/quality of life. Our Nurse Supervisor performs supervisory, advisory and clinical care functions at VVH for the population of patients during a shift. Incumbent ensures the provision of a full range of services to veterans and members with a variety of needs. This position will exercise a high level of independent clinical decision making and provide leadership of clinical and non-clinical staff.
This is a full-time position on the day shift; hours are 7:00 am to 3:30 pm and will include working weekends and holidays.

Hourly rates within the Classified Bargaining Unit Pay Plan will change effective January 5, 2020. At that time, the starting rate (Step 1) for this job opening will be $37.24 per hour.Environmental Factors
Duties primarily performed in a clinical and office setting. Work may require travel off-site. Exposure to communicable diseases, blood borne pathogens, potentially physically and verbally violent patient population and other stressful situations may occur. May be required to work evenings, nights, weekends and extended shifts as the need arises.Minimum Qualifications
Possession of (or eligible for) licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Vermont AND five (5) years or more of professional nursing experience in the nursing specialty INCLUDING one (1) year or more at a supervisory level OR leading a group or team.
NOTE: Must maintain Vermont licensure as a Registered Nurse as a condition of employment.Preferred Qualifications
