Description

Responsible for overseeing the implementation, maintenance, and optimization of financial software systems within our organization. You will collaborate with various departments to ensure that our finance applications align with business objectives and comply with regulatory standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical skills, a deep understanding of financial processes, and excellent project management abilities.

Qualifications/Requirements
  • In-depth knowledge of financial software applications and tooling such as ERP systems, accounting software, financial planning and analysis tools, OCR tools, AP/AR workflow tools and document management platforms.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial reporting requirements, and regulatory compliance (e.g., GAAP, SOX).
  • Ability to act as a “working” manager as well as lead small teams.
  • Fundamental understanding of relational database architectures and query structures.
  • Fundamental understanding of integration technologies, API, RETL, ESB.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the capacity to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Project management experience, including the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with Agile methodologies is a plus.
  • CPA is a plus.
  • ITIL Foundation
Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Lead the implementation of new financial software systems, ensuring smooth integration with existing systems and processes.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements, design solutions, and customize applications to meet business needs.
  • Oversee the ongoing maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of finance applications, addressing technical issues and optimizing system performance.
  • Identify opportunities to streamline financial processes, improve efficiency, and enhance the usability of finance applications.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to gather feedback, prioritize enhancement requests, and implement system enhancements or configurations.
  • Collaborate with internal audit and compliance teams to ensure that finance applications adhere to regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Participate in internal and external audits, providing documentation and support as needed to demonstrate compliance with financial controls and procedures.
  • Build and maintain relationships with software vendors and service providers, evaluating their products and services, negotiating contracts, and managing vendor relationships to ensure quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Act as a "working" manager, actively involved in day-to-day tasks while also managing direct reports and providing leadership, guidance, and mentorship to the team.
Preferred:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Information Technology preferred.
  • Proven experience (5 years) in financial systems administration, implementation, or management.
