Responsibilities

• • Make Readies / Turning Units for new move ins.
  • Communicating with Service Manager / Building leads to determine their painting requirements and discussing top priorities.
  • Covering trim, floors, furniture, and other surfaces with masking tape, drop cloths and other protective coverings to keep them free of paint.
  • Preparing surfaces to be painted.
  • Applying primer and other sealers to paint surfaces to ensure that paint sticks to them.
  • Applying paint, stain, and other finishes to paint surfaces using paintbrushes, rollers, or sprayers.
  • Maintaining an inventory of supplies.
  • Estimating time and material costs on painting projects.
  • Cleaning machines, equipment and work areas using water, solvents, and other cleaning aids.
  • Reviewing and implementing work orders and assignments.
  • Removing and reinstalling fixtures as necessary.
  • Performing routine maintenance around the building and proactively fixing potential safety hazards.
  • Maintaining the building HVAC equipment to keep climate control in the facility functioning properly.
  • Painting the building when old paint has become faded or chipped.

Physical Demands

• Ability to ascend and descend ladder.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Position requires standing, walking, reaching, bending, and good manual dexterity.
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions including rain, heat, and snow.

Additional Factors:

• Must pass criminal and motor vehicle background check prior to starting position.
• Must have a current drivers license and auto insurance.
• Must wear company issued uniform.
• Must be willing to be on call for emergencies.
• Overtime required for pressing projects and snow removal.

Experience Requirements

• A minimum of four years of full-time work-related experience required in painting, drywall repairs, and general maintenance experience.
• Must be able to perform interior/exterior painting, drywall repairs, light general maintenance repairs and performing work orders.
• Ability to work on several projects simultaneously, prioritize work as required, and communicate workload status to the Service Manager.
