Overview

Bluewater Federal is looking for an Enterprise Engineer / Architect to support the Department of the Navy, Naval Sea Systems Command, The Naval Surface Warfare Center Dahlgren Division (NSWCDD).


Responsibilities

  • Provide Enterprise Architecture (EA) leadership and artifacts using DoDAF and IBM System Architect to describe “as‑is/to‑be” RDT&E lab and infrastructure views, inform technology roadmaps, and guide cloud/hybrid‑cloud information architecture—integrated with TIAC readiness assessments and RMF/Zero Trust strategies.
  • Develop and maintain DoDAF‑compliant EA products (views, data models, portfolios), manage EA content in the central repository, and generate lab technology road‑map inputs
  • Perform Technology Integration and Assessment Capability (TIAC)‑based TRL/IRL/SRL analysis; provide architecture recommendations for systems/domains and cloud information architectures
  • Align enterprise/network/cloud architectures with ITSM, Change Enablement, CfM/ITAM baselines, and cybersecurity frameworks (RMF, STIGs, Zero Trust)
  • Support stakeholder engagement, site surveys, and design packages—including as‑built drawings and communications diagrams where EA integration is required

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of professional experience assessing cloud services, migrating legacy and other systems to a cloud network, providing governance for cloud solutions, and other related activities.
  • Must have a current Secret clearance with the ability to upgrade to TS/SCI.
  • Must have Security+ certification
  • Experience working with major cloud providers (e.g. AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and in integrating them with on-premises cloud infrastructure.
  • Deep knowledge with hands-on and proven experience designing, deploying, and managing cloud solutions (e.g., storage, active directory, identity and access management, compute services, networking, containerization and orchestration, serverless computing, monitoring and logging, cybersecurity, infrastructure as code, Ansible, Linux, Windows, networking, firewalls, routing, cloud security, scripting, DevSecOps, relational databases, NoSQL databases).
