Tetra Tech, Inc. specializes in recovering communities after being significantly impacted by disasters or weather events. We are currently hiring for Disposal Monitors to help monitor debris removal.

Employees in this position are the "on-site" monitor for the disposal of disaster-generated debris. A disposal monitor tracks how much and what kind of disaster debris is picked up and disposed on a project. It is a disposal monitors responsibility to only allow the types of disaster debris that are allowed to enter the DMS you are working.

This position is for immediate work, with no physical labor, and no experience required because training will be provided to you. We are looking for self-motivated, responsible, dedicated individuals with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks, meet deadlines, and work with minimal supervision. Job Responsibilities:

  • Documents the quantity and type of disaster debris is being disposed of on a project. 
  • Documents the type of disaster debris, estimates the percentage of disaster debris within each truck and completes the disposal portion of a load ticket. 
  • Complete a disposal log capturing debris disposal information throughout the day.
  • Understand daily responsibilities set by the supervisor and project manager.
  • Brief Supervisor on the day's activities, debris disposal, issues, or problems.

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to work on weekends. (Saturday AND Sunday) 
  • Ability to work outdoors with possible inclement weather 
  • Ability to stand for long periods 
  • Ability to work for long periods of time. Roughly 10 to 12 hours a day
  • Possess reliable and dependable vehicle 
  • Ability to use a smartphone 
  • Provide valid I9 documentation 
  • Must be comfortable working at heights
  • Good teamwork and cooperation skills 

NO HOUSING OR RELOCATION WILL BE PROVIDED. 

It is understood that your employment is to be on an "at will" basis. This position with Tetra Tech is temporary and on an "as-needed" basis and will end once the project is complete.
