Tetra Tech Inc. is currently seeking a part-time Associate Editor for our Denver, CO office.

The selected candidate will be primarily responsible for reviewing documents and work products for presentation quality and readability. General responsibilities include:

• Ensuring documents are clear and logical and document organization is appropriate
• Reviewing document for coherence, consistency, and conciseness
• Correcting grammar, word choice, punctuation, and spelling
• Assuring adherence to Tetra Tech or client-specific style requirements and guidance
• Ensuring figures and tables are used effectively
• Reviewing references for completeness
• Communicating with the project manager or author immediately to resolve or convey significant questions or problems
• Completing the Quality Control Review form
• Providing feedback to the author or project manager after the editorial review is completed

Position will start as part-time, 24 hours/week, and has the potential to increase to full-time depending on workload and need.

Job Requirements:

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of professional experience, including experience with document and technical editing. In addition, you will have/be:

• Proficiency with MS Office applications is required
• PowerPoint and Graphics experience is a plus
• Knowledge of Adobe and Adobe Illustrator is a plus
• Graphic design, compilation, and word processing skills to support document layout and formatting are a plus
• Very detail-oriented, have great organizational skills and successful with meeting deadlines
• Professional, poised and able to communicate effectively with clients, outside vendors, and team members whenever necessary
• Highly motivated, customer focused, and work well in a team environment as well as independently
• Ability to manage a heavy workload and be willing to work overtime as needed (nights and weekends)
• A can-do attitude and the ability to go above and beyond to ensure the success of the department
• Open to learning new skills as required to meet the needs of the department and company-wide staff
• Associate or bachelor's degree, specialized courses in English or communications a plus
