About the role
We're expanding the groundwater team within our Site Assessment and Remediation Group and are looking for an Associate to Hydrogeologist to help drive excellence in project delivery, client engagement, and technical mentorship.
Supported by our industry leaders and Principals, you'll play a key role in leading the technical delivery of hydrogeological components of multidisciplinary contaminated land investigations and remediation projects.
This position offers the chance to take on meaningful groundwater and contamination challenges, support business growth, and mentor a talented team of emerging professionals.
What You'll Do:
Lead the design, implementation and interpretation of groundwater investigations and monitoring programs.
Deliver hydrogeological risk assessments and conceptual site models for contaminated land and remediation projects.
Provide technical direction on groundwater fate and transport modelling, including contaminant behaviour.
Review and prepare high-quality technical reports and proposals.
Engage with clients, regulators, and stakeholders to ensure project success and foster strong relationships.
Mentor and support junior hydrogeologists and environmental scientists within the team.

Contribute to the development of innovative approaches and solutions in hydrogeology and contaminated land assessment.
What You'll Need:
Degree qualified in Hydrogeology, Geology, Environmental Engineering or related discipline. Postgraduate qualifications will be highly regarded.
Strong communication, report writing, and project management skills.
Minimum 8 years' professional experience in contaminated land and groundwater projects, ideally within a consultancy environment.
Proven expertise in hydrogeological assessment, including aquifer testing, data interpretation, and conceptual site modelling.
Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, guidelines, and reporting standards relevant to contaminated sites.
Experience with groundwater modelling software (e.g., MODFLOW, FEFLOW) and contaminant transport tools.
The ability to mentor and guide junior team members.
