The successful candidate will work in Florida and provide civil engineering analysis and design on a variety of federal, municipal, commercial, and private development projects, including stormwater, grading, multiuse paths, complete/green streets projects, active transportation projects, water and sewer pipelines, pump stations, retaining walls, bridges, and related ancillary structures. The ideal candidate will be ready to be a part of and grow with a team and have an interest in business development. Mentoring of more junior staff is expected, along with a desire to learn and grow from more senior engineers and project managers. 

 

 

Your Role 

·         Serve as a design engineer on a wide variety of municipal civil, stormwater, and water/wastewater projects. 

·         Perform conceptual and detailed design calculations and analyses. 

·         Prepare construction drawings, specifications, and cost estimates. 

·         Ensure standard engineering practices and inclusion of appropriate documentation on various reports and design projects. 

·         Perform engineering interpretation of specifications and drawings and recommend and document design modifications. 

·         Provide mentorship and technical guidance to staff engineers. 

·         Support construction services (field meetings, submittal review, shop drawing review, RFIs). 

 

 

Qualifications 

·          Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Environmental, or related Engineering discipline required, Master's preferred 

·         Professional Engineer (PE) License in Florida, or able to obtain within 12 months 

·         4+of experience with municipal civil, stormwater, and/or water/wastewater system design. 

·         Valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record 

·         Experience in Low Impact Development (LID) techniques is a plus 

·         Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, as well as Microsoft Office software, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project.
