Tetra Tech's San Juan, PR office has an opening for an Environmental Scientist Intern. The Intern's primary responsibility will be to assist with various administrative, field, and reporting tasks essential to the successful implementation and documentation of various design and environmental project.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Organize, file, and maintain project documents, permits, and reports to ensure proper record-keeping and compliance.
  • Assist in preparing meeting agendas, minutes, and correspondence related to project activities.
  • Support the collection, entry, and management of field data.
  • Maintain databases and spreadsheets to track project progress, metrics, and deliverables.
  • Help prepare informational materials to support community engagement and outreach efforts.
  • Participate in site visits to assist technical staff with field observations and data collection as needed.
  • Assist in compiling data and preparing draft reports or presentations for project updates and stakeholder communications.

Qualifications

  • At least three full years of college education and actively enrolled in an engineering, environmental science or related field of study.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Basic proficiency with data management tools such as spreadsheets and databases.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Willingness to participate in site visits and fieldwork as required.
  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English
  • Valid Puerto Rico Driver's License

This position is for part time, temporary employment.
