Australia Awards Cambodia (AAC)

Australia Awards Cambodia (AAC) is a multi-year program (June 2018-May 2026) managed by Tetra Tech International Development on behalf of the Australian Government, represented by the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT).

AAC provides access to prestigious long and short-term study and training opportunities consistent with the Australia Awards Global Strategic Framework (2021-2024). AAC also delivers a range of activities that support achievement of the investment's objectives, including:

  • English language and pre-departure training
  • Equity Pathway Program and activities to support equity of access for women, people with disability and people from provincial locations, and members of Indigenous, ethnic minority, and LGBTQIA+ groups
  • On-award enrichment activities
  • Alumni engagement

The Position

The Equity Pathways and Inclusion Coordinator is responsible for the delivery of activities within the Equity Pathways Program (EPP) and the Internship program for People with Disability (IP), and to support inclusion with the program more generally. These initiatives aim to improve social inclusion outcomes in relation to Australia Awards Scholarships so that Australia Awards Cambodia effectively progresses the equity, equality and social inclusion goals of the Australian Aid program.

Key Responsibilities

  • Development and implementation of inclusion strategies and initiatives. Responsible for ensuring the delivery of the Equity Pathways Program (EPP) and Internship Program for People with Disability (IP)
  • Targeted promotion to disability, women's and Indigenous People's organisations
  • Advice and placement for English language training, identification of reasonable adjustments that allow people with disability to participate fully and equitably in AAC activities
  • Capture data necessary for the effective delivery of the EPP and IP, including financial data associated with allowances and stipends, and indicator data for monitoring, evaluation and learning (MEL) purposes
  • In all stages of the AAS cycle, EPP and IP, maintain close communications and provide support to people with disability to ensure that they are successfully able to access and participate in all activities
  • Maintain a close working relationship with the DFAT Disability Support Consultant to ensure that DFAT policy requirements are met for disability support on-award
  • Contribute to effective collaboration across the AAC team to support the establishment of a constructive, team-based culture and delivery of key program-wide results
  • Actively contribute to activity review processes including those concerning review and continuous improvement and reporting of Program Enrichment Strategy and activities
  • Undertake additional duties as may be reasonably required by the TL

Selection Criteria

The ideal candidate would hold the following qualifications and experience:

  • Tertiary qualifications in a relevant field
  • Demonstrated practical experience working with people with a disability and minority groups to support and promote preparedness for success in academic life
  • A sound understanding of the Australia Awards scholarship cycle
  • Demonstrated skills collecting and analysing data including managing data bases
  • Ability to think clearly and logically
