The Opportunity: 

Tetra Tech Inc.'s Disaster Recovery division is currently seeking a Field Administrator. The Field Administrator provides onsite administrative and logistical support to field operations during active disaster response projects. This role is critical to ensuring efficient training of local hires, timely payroll setup, and day-to-day administrative and logistical coordination. The Field Administrator works closely with the Project Manager and Operations team to support project execution and workforce readiness.

Essential Job Functions:

•    New Employee Support
o    Support local recruiting and onboarding efforts as needed for newly hired field employees. This could include coordinating live ID verification calls with the Recruiting Admin.


o    Coordinate pay card requests, including:
    Requesting pay cards from accounting as needed
    Distributing pay cards to employees onsite
    Submitting required documentation for pay card activation


o    Provide administrative support in the preparation and submission of HR incident reports as requested by the operation team, including but not limited to:
    No-call/No-show incidents
    Behavioral or conduct-related concerns
    Other employee-related issues
o    Understanding that primary responsibility for employee management and disciplinary actions remains with the operating team, with the Field Administrator serving in a supporting and administrative capacity when needed. 


•    Administrative Support
o    Provide general administrative support to the onsite Project Manager and Operations team.
o    Scan, organize, and submit project-related documentation as required.
o    Serve as the primary administrative point of contact in the field office.


•    Logistics and Supplies
o    Support logistics efforts, including supply runs as needed.
o    Submit requests for new or replenished office and field supplies.
o    Assist with tracking and coordinating administrative resources for the project.


•    Communication and Reporting
o    Maintain clear and professional communication with the project manager and internal support teams.
o    Escalate administrative or staffing issues as needed to ensure timely resolution.
 

Qualifications:

  • Willing and able to work 8-10 hours per day, 7 days per week, for the duration of the project.

  • Previous administrative, HR, recruiting, or field operations experience preferred.

  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

  • Ability to handle confidential employee information professionally.

  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, high demand field environments.

  • Proficiency with basic office equipment and document management.

  • Reliable transportation and ability to complete supply runs as needed.

     

  •  Must meet driving records qualifications and pass a successful MVR check.

This position with Tetra Tech is temporary and on an "as needed" basis and will end. It is understood that your employment is to be on an "at will" basis.
