Project Summary:

The purpose of “Public Accountability and Justice Strengthening” (PAJ) activity is to support Jordanian efforts to enhance accountability systems, procedures, and mechanisms within the government of Jordan and judicial institutions and enhance their ability to serve and communicate effectively with the public. It also fosters awareness and pressure by civil society organizations, the public, and the private sector on the government's adherence to the law and its international commitments to govern in an accountable manner that safeguards the rights of vulnerable populations. Position Summary:

The Leadership Trainer will be responsible for developing the leadership and management capabilities of Judges at the Judicial Institute of Jordan (JIJ) to enable them to take on senior positions within the courts and other Judiciary institutions. The Trainer will provide specialized training in key technical areas, including leadership, strategic planning, governance, creativity and innovation. The training will take place at the JIJ. This is a time-bound project, and the maximum level of effort required is 25 days for all trainers combined between April - August 2024.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with relevant representatives from PAJ and the JIJ to develop high-quality training materials based on best practices and utilize existing materials where applicable.
  • Design and execute a comprehensive training program or workshop for selected participants that covers all the required technical areas.
  • Prepare a detailed training workshop report that includes a list of participants, any remarks, and lessons learned from the training.
  • Conduct pre- and post- evaluations to measure the knowledge and skills gained by participants accurately and provide PAJ with the results of the assessments.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, such as engineering management, law, business, or public administration required. Master's degree is preferred.
  • Certification on training is preferred.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience as a Consultant and Trainer in the specified technical areas with Government of Jordan and/or international donor agencies required.
  • Minimum of 120 training hours required.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with all related stakeholders.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic required.
