Tetra Tech CES has an immediate opening for a LSRP Site Remediation Professional to join their established engineering and construction team in the New Jersey/New York environmental remediation market.

 

This position will be based in Northern New Jersey and metropolitan New York providing a full range of remedial science, engineering, and construction services for terrestrial and marine projects. The qualified candidate will have a BS in Science, Engineering, or a related field.  A minimum of 10 years of total professional experience and 5 years working as an LSRP Site Remediation Professional on addressing hazardous waste impacts for terrestrial and marine projects. 

 

Essential Education, Experience and Responsibilities: 

The chosen individual must have experience that includes:

·         Minimum of 10 years of professional experience with terrestrial/upland and marine (e.g., sediment) remediation projects.

·         Experience with NJDEP and NYSDEC agency requirements to complete hazardous waste remediation projects.

·         Experience working with USF&WS, National Marine Fisheries, and other resource agencies complying with permit requirements on hazardous waste remediation projects.

·         Knowledge of in-water work permits (Section 10 Rivers and Harbors Act and Clean Water Act Sections 404 and 401 water quality certification).  Experience working with the US Army Corps NY District.

·         Expertise with RI/FS and Remedial Design/Remedial Action (RD/RA) under the Comprehensive Response, Compensation and Liability Act (CERCLA)

·         Team Leadership and ability to manage multi-disciplined teams with members located at various geographic locations.

·         Ability to provide direction and management for investigation, design, and construction activities.

·         Experience participating in negotiations with regulatory agencies and in public meetings in support of the client.

·         Strong writing skills with work plans, reports, various resources agency reports, proposals, and marketing documents.

·         Strong desire and aptitude for client management and business development

·         Exceptional organizational and time management skills with the ability to simultaneously handle multiple tasks.

·         Extremely responsible, equally suited to working independently or in a team environment.

·         Willingness to travel to locations in the U.S. (approximately 25% travel).

·         40-hour HAZWOPER training with current refresher is required.

·         Must have a valid driver license and be able to pass the company DMV check to be a Tetra Tech-qualified driver of corporate/rental vehicles.

·         A Pre-employment drug screen in compliance with state regulations is required.

 

Desired Skills and Experience:

·         MS in Science, Engineering, or a related field is a plus.

·         Knowledge of the natural resource damage assessments (NRDAs) is a plus.

·         Familiarity with the beneficial use of soil and dredged sediment per NJDEP and NYSDEC requirements.
