Locally, we are a high functioning, multidisciplinary project team of engineers, project managers, specialists, technologists, designer/drafters, and supporting staff. We specialize in mid-sized sustaining and new capital projects, however, are involved in projects of a wide range and scale for clients across Canada and the globe. Our work spans varied market sectors however these typically focus on:

  • Mining and Mineral Processing
  • Heavy Industrial Facilities
  • Remote Community Water Treatment and Power Generation 
  • Municipal and Energy Utilities

We are currently searching for Mechanical EITs to join our team in Thunder Bay, Ontario. EITs will work closely with a group of engineering professionals and will gain valuable hands-on engineering experience in a challenging and versatile engineering consulting working environment. 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Interfaces with project team members to complete assigned tasks
  • Undertakes calculations, analysis and simulations from basic or first principles following established design practices as directed by senior engineers
  • Prepares basic design and/or engineering reports when requested
  • Assists in the management of drawing and document lists, distribution matrices, squad check coordination and records management
  • Familiarity with applicable industry codes and standards
  • Prepares and manages material take-offs and requisition packages

QUALIFICATIONS:

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Some experience or knowledge in Mining, or Municipal sectors is preferred
  • Sound judgement and initiative
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others team members and engineering disciplines

SOFTWARE AND SYSTEMS:

  • Experience using 3D AutoCad or equivalent considered an asset
  • Competency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word)

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering 
  • Registered as an EIT 

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

  • Candidates must be legally entitled to work in Canada
