Your Role

As a Process Design Engineer, you'll gain hands-on experience supporting the planning and design of treatment systems for emerging contaminants—most notably PFAS—alongside engineers who are shaping the future of municipal water. You'll collaborate with experienced professionals across disciplines and work closely with a leading technical voice in the industry, gaining insight and mentorship as you contribute to real projects. In this role you will:

  • Support the delivery of large-scale water and wastewater treatment projects from planning through construction.

  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams of civil, electrical, mechanical, and structural engineers.

  • Execute the client's objectives by preparing construction drawings, specifications, cost estimates, technical reports, and permit packages.

  • Assist with the preparation of design calculations, process modeling, and equipment sizing for PFAS treatment (e.g., GAC, IX, RO), filtration, disinfection, and other unit processes. 

  • Work closely with the team to prepare design calculations, system modeling, and hydraulic analyses for pipelines, pump stations, force mains, and collection systems.

  • Engage in on-site investigations site visits, pilot testing, construction support, and client coordination, gaining firsthand experience in project delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, or Chemical Engineering (required).

  • 3-6 years of experience in water/wastewater engineering (internship or co-op experience welcome).

  • Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification preferred (or in progress).

  • Exposure to or interest in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or process modeling tools (e.g., BioWin, GPS-X).

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office products such as Word and Excel.

  • Enthusiasm for learning, teamwork, and building a long-term career in water infrastructure.

 

 

CA Salary: $77,000- $95,000 dependent on experience
