Description
Tetra Tech has an exciting opportunity for a leader in the south to join our project and cost management team. You will be responsible for the line management and personal development of the team of circa 60 project and cost managers. You will support them in delivering their projects and managing our internal governance, as well as growing the team and developing business to support regional national growth in accordance with our Blueprint.
Depending on the applicant, this role could be combined with other project, programme or portfolio management roles.
You will be based in the South of the UK and ideally close to one of our Southern offices. You will have experience in either project or cost management, in any sector.
Role Responsibilities:
· Lead and win business for south region
· Head up the project and cost management team in the south region
· Lead a team of circa 60 people
· Develop business and support other colleagues with business development
· Provide advice and support with project delivery
· AD PM responsibilities – not delivering own projects
· Ensuring internal governance is adhered to
· Responsible for finances of portfolio of projects / financial management
· Provide advice on people management, including HR issues
· Supporting the team's professional development
About You:
· Experience working in a client facing environment
· Leadership experience
· Experience managing large teams
· Experience handling and developing a portfolio of projects
· Understanding of construction contracts
· Business development experience
· Excellent communicator
· Ability to obtain Security Clearance – up to the Developed Vetting level
· Flexibility for travel
