This is a part-time position (~24 hours/week) and can work remotely or from one of our offices.

Your Role:

The Senior Business Development Associate will drive new business growth through developing and fostering positive business relations with new and existing clients, identifying opportunities for new business and implementing strategic plans relating to growth of Tetra Tech mine action and munitions response activities primarily in the Middle East region. This position reports to the Vice President of International Business Development and serves as a member of the Business Development team.

•    Work with senior management to position for and win new business.
•    Serve in a client facing role implementing business development activities. 
•    Advise and support proposal leads to manage all aspects of the proposal lifecycle, including: opportunity identification, capture planning, teaming negotiations, staffing/recruiting, proposal writing/production, production/quality control, delivery, negotiation, contract signing, project hand-off and mobilization, and          proposal debrief.
•    Support the business development team by participating in and where appropriate, leading: regular meetings, bid approval processes, opportunity identification and tracking, risk reviews, file management, adhering to internal approvals and policy, and ensuring document integrity.
•    Participate in capture planning trips in coordination with technical leads.
•    Write and contribute to technical proposal sections, including: institutional capability, relevant annexes related to candidate resumes, past performance, graphics/charts, monitoring and evaluation plans, workplans, and other proposal inputs as required.
•    Collaborate with graphic designer to create visually-appealing graphics and illustrations for proposals.
•    Conduct activities in line with internal procedures, legislation, and industry standards.
•    Pursue continuous professional development and maintain a high degree of discipline knowledge and awareness.
•    Work in a safe manner at all times and report all health and safety incidents and concerns.
•    Additional duties as required.

Qualifications:
•    Bachelor's degree in business, economics, engineering, finance, marketing, international development, or another related field. 
•    A minimum of four (4) years' relevant work experience in business development, including leading successful proposal activities with a range of $10-$60 million in value.
•    A minimum of five (5) years' relevant work experience within the context of international development.
•    Ability to manage a proposal team. 
•    Strong analytical and organizational skills, including ability to work independently in a deadline-driven environment, and prioritize and manage activities with precision and attention to detail.
•    Experience managing client communication and leading face-to-face client interactions.
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
•    Excellent leadership skills and ability to guide/manage a proposal team through to submission.
•    Strong interpersonal skills, such as diplomacy and conflict mitigation, in order to develop and maintain relationships with colleagues, consultants, partners and clients working in the international development sector.
•    Familiarity with proposal requirements for various clients, including international organizations, government agencies and commercial or private clients.
•    Ability to format and conduct quality control on proposals and presentations that are client-ready without support from others.
•    Available to travel and work additional hours as needed. 
•    Computer proficiency in using content management systems (e.g., Egnyte, OneDrive), Adobe PDF, and Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint, required.
•    Fluency in English required. 
•    Ability to travel to developing countries and hostile environments may be required.

Compensation:
Pay commensurate with experience. 

A pre-employment drug screen in compliance with federal regulations is required, along with a physical if needed.
