Your Role:

We are currently seeking an Intermediate Civil Engineer for our Pickering offices. Candidates will perform complete civil designs, including calculations, construction details and drawings, for stormwater systems, site layout and grading. Design work will be executed in a 3D environment utilizing state of the art 3D modelling software to simulate as-found field topography as well as final grading design to demonstrate poste development conditions. Responsibilities:

·       Responsible for performing complete civil designs, including calculations, construction details and drawings, for stormwater systems, site layout and grading.

·       Design work will be executed in a 3D environment utilizing state of the art 3D modelling software to simulate as-found field topography as well as final grading design to demonstrate poste development conditions.

·       Ability to perform design, including preparation of calculations, material lists, drawings, technical and construction specifications.

·       Reports to department manager and assists in preparation of design estimates, construction costs and proposal submissions.

·       Provide input to project schedules and participate in the design planning stage.

·       Provide technical leadership to junior/intermediate staff on projects, including verifying and validating the work of other civil engineers and designers.

·       Provides assistance to the project managers as required in managing interactions between consulting, engineering and client teams.

Qualifications:

University Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is preferred

·       Registered or eligible to register with the PEO as a P.ENG

·       5 years' experience in roadway, municipal and linear infrastructure design/drafting and 3D modeling is preferred.

·       Experience in linear infra structure design including but not limited to; site development, drainage, grading, site utilities, erosion control, and roadway design.

·       Proficiency in use of AutoCad Civil 3D and AutoCad 2D.

·       Knowledge of Microstation / inroads software is an asset.

·       Strong communication and organizational skills.

·       Ability to Support during construction and come up with creative solutions.

·       Knowledge of PCSWWM software is an asset.

·       Must be able to obtain a security clearance

Additional Information

A requirement of working for Tetra Tech is that you are at least 18 years of age and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)
