The Senior Financial Analyst reports to the Associate Director, FPR&A. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for design and development of financial models, reports, analysis, and planning processes within Finance and across TNC.

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for assisting with the budget process and with financial reporting for the enterprise and / or assigned Business Units. This role will also collaborate with other finance and operations team members to design and develop operational, headcount, and financial analysis to help senior management make better decisions. 

The Senior Financial Analyst will collaborate with other staff within the department and throughout the organization to design and implement financial processes that relate to budgeting, reporting and analysis such as systems integrations, data integrity and business processes. Will assist with high impact projects within TNC that may affect reporting, budgeting, and analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst is a subject matter expert and serves as a resource to the organization or their organizational unit, as applicable, including as an advisor to senior level staff. Generally responsible for the management, maintenance and reporting of financial data and/or the monitoring of management controls and processes to ensure compliance with TNC policies and procedures, relevant legal and regulatory frameworks, and financial/management best practice.

RESPONSIBILITIES & SCOPE

Data and Analytics:

  • Develop and maintain periodic data sets and reports in Power BI using multiple data sources covering (but not limited to Headcount Analysis, Budget Reviews, Month/ Period End Analysis.

  • Creation of ad hoc Power BI models to respond to specific analysis needs and to support management decision making.

  • Support BoD and other ELT (Executive Leadership Team) reporting and associated data/ financial analysis.

  • Support, maintain, and design (where needed) dashboards to drive accountability and financial data accessibility for the broader finance organization.

  • Utilize Power BI (or other tools) to merge data sources and create models that develop deeper data-based insights.

  • Manage financial processes such as reporting, modeling, financial planning, and forecasting.

Budgeting, Forecasting, Multiyear Planning:

  • Work with Finance Resource Center (FRC) and other stakeholders to develop budget references and other supporting materials – to be used by the broader organization during annual budgeting.

  • Support the multiyear financial planning efforts of TNC. Provide data, systems, and analytical support as needed to drive the process and consolidations.

  • Work with IT and other Finance leaders to ensure data and system readiness for budgeting and forecasting.

  • Coordinate the collection and support the publication of budget assumptions. Be available to answer questions for BU finance team members on budget process and assumptions.

  • Participate in Weekly budget support calls organized by the FRC as a resource person/ SME during the annual budget preparation season.

  • Create budget review files for other FPR&A team members, and the field finance team members.

  • Design budget/ forecast reports, in Adaptive as needed/ requested either on Adaptive web or Office Connect

Special Projects/ Initiatives:

  • Support Workday and Adaptive implementation as needed.

  • Work with BIA team to configure access to relevant data for analysis and maintenance of financial Dashboards.

  • Implement and manage new initiatives and projects that support the FPR&A teams analysis needs

  • Support assigned special / strategic projects with financial and other data needs.

  • Provide ideas and insights to drive improved financial efficiency and effectiveness.

Other:

  • Works toward meeting the strategic priorities of the FPR&A team by developing and coordinating plans and related tactics and overseeing day-to-day tasks.

  • Ensures the programmatic work is collaborative and well-integrated across organization.

  • Ensures programmatic commitments, TNC policies and procedures, financial standards and legal requirements are met and managed for compliance.

  • Extensive experience in a corporate finance department and/or relevant equivalent experience and a deep understanding of financial technical solutions

  • Excellent written, visual, and oral communication skills and ability to communicate clearly and succinctly with key audiences

  • Multilingual skills and/or multi-cultural experience appreciated.

  • Experience with financial reporting from ERP systems such as Workday

  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Ability to resolve complex issues independently within program area.

  • Experience acting as a resource to others to solve problems.

  • Demonstrated ability to learn quickly, be a team player, and manage change effectively.

  • Well-versed in specific industry best practices, and an ability to adapt them to TNC's organization.

  • Possesses an understanding of how to utilize emotional intelligence to navigate complex organizational and interpersonal dynamics.

  • Demonstrated success in motivating and leading staff.

  • Technical expert on complex accounting/financial issues.

  • Expert knowledge of Microsoft Excel and financial systems.

  • Excellent analytical and quantitative skills.

  • Demonstrated success in analyzing, manipulating, and interpreting data, and developing, reporting, and implementing solutions beneficial to FPR&A requirements.

  • Service oriented. Courteous, personable, tactful, and experienced dealing effectively with all levels of staff.

  • Experience recruiting, supervising, and developing staff.

What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field and 7 years related work experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Ability to work with large data sets using tools like Power BI, Workday, Adaptive, Alteryx etc.

  • Experience with GAAP.

  • Experience with developing and maintaining Corporate Financial reports from an ERP or General Ledger system.

  • Experience configuring and maintaining moderately complex budgeting software solutions.

  • Experience with organizational financial analysis at the corporate level.

  • Experience developing relational databases and bringing disparate data sets together.

  • Experience implementing moderately complex technical solutions.

  • Experience working with computer and information management systems, Excel spreadsheets and databases for financial analysis, fiscal management, and/or financial reports.

  • Experience in developing, directing, and implementing multiple projects.

Salary Information:

This position may be based in any country where TNC has an established entity, taking into consideration legal restrictions, such as non-national ratios and immigration processing times. For U.S. based applicants only, the starting pay range for this position is generally within the range of $91,120.00 – $147,000.00 for annual base salary and is based on location, qualifications, specific skills, and experience. This range only applies to candidates whose country of employment is the USA. For all other applicants, pay ranges will be in local currency, the pay range will be based on the local labor market, and not tied to the above pay range. Your geographic location will be confirmed during the recruitment and used to determine your actual pay range. Additionally, for all applicants, actual pay will fall within a range based on a variety of factors including, for example, the candidate's qualifications, specific skills, and experience.
