Description
Tom Wood Porsche, in Indianapolis, Indiana, is searching for an experienced Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate for this position should possess experience and expertise in vehicle diagnostics, maintenance, and repair, coupled with a strong passion for automotive excellence and meticulous attention to detail.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
- Communicating with the parts department and service advisors regularly to effectively manage production and customer communication
- Diagnosing the cause of any malfunction and performing a repair, if authorized by the customer
- Accurately documenting vehicle repairs/work performed on the repair order
- Keeping abreast of factory technical bulletins and participating in factory-sponsored training classes as appropriate
- Providing an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty
- Provide labor and time estimates for additional automotive repairs
- Explain mechanical diagnoses and required repairs in a non-technical manner to service advisors and customers
QUALIFICATIONS:
- ASE/Manufacturer certifications a plus and /or previous Automotive Technician experience
- Detail oriented and organized
- Team oriented, flexible, and focused on maintaining a high level of customer service
- Working knowledge of shop equipment such as wheel and tire equipment, alignment system, diagnostic equipment, AC equipment, etc. a plus
- Hold a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
