M-F 8:00am-5:00pm, 40 hours/week May be required to work some evenings and weekends to support system upgrades and project work   This position is considered Hybrid/Remote; however, you must reside in California within a commutable distance to TCU's Corporate Headquarters located in Vacaville, CA.   SummaryThe primary function of Travis Credit Union's (TCU) Application Support Specialist is to ensure the stability and efficient use of the application by the business and coordination with Technology Solutions. This role provides line-of-business specific application support, including defining and analyzing services, developing tests, evaluating problems and solutions at support levels 1 and 2 and provides business centric services specific to the identified application.     Profile:  

  • Functions as an Application Support Specialist working with the business unit to support the successful use of the application environment, including software, back-office solutions, and production schedules related to the associated applications.
  • Provides input into and supports the execution of operations management methodology, processes, incident and change control processes, documentation, and project plan tasks; such as service delivery, monitoring activities, data refreshes, environment refreshes or upgrades, and process reviews.
  • Identifies, understands, and plans for organizational and human impacts of assigned application(s), and ensures new business requirements are properly documented and integrated with existing processes and skill sets.
  • Develops, documents, and revises application operations procedures, tests, and quality standards.
  • Participates in the collection, analysis, and development of reports for internal business unit reporting, environment performance, and availability management.
  • Creates and updates communications and incident management activities to streamline ticket resolution.
  • Assists in troubleshooting system, application, program, data synchronization and data manipulation issues.
  • Creates and reviews change requests to ensure facilitation of and adherence to the Change Management processes.
  • Participates in the training of new team members.
  • Assists in developing user documentation in consideration of TCU policies and procedures which impact the use of application systems.
  • Ensures adherence to Service Level Agreements and/or objectives.

  Reporting & Experience:  
  • Reports directly to assigned Line of Business Leadership or IT Leadership.
  • Normally receives general instructions on routine work, and detailed instructions on new assignments.
  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of related experience; or an advanced degree without experience; or 6 years of equivalent work experience.
  • Demonstrated record of success providing in supporting, documenting, operating, and providing support for mission critical business systems.
    Working Conditions: Work is generally performed within an office environment, with standard office equipment available and usually sedentary in nature. Will involve weekend, on-call, and after hours work schedules as dictated by the needs of Travis Credit Union.    Compensation: Base salary starting range is commensurate with experience:  
  • Application Support Specialist - Grade 13: $32.48/hour - $40.12/hour
