Department: COM | Peds Neonatology Clinic B Admin

Summary of Job Duties: The Administrative Coordinator will provide administrative support for the Department of Pediatrics/Division of Neonatology. The position will report to the Neonatology Office Manager and provide assistance in planning, event coordination, purchasing, scheduling, and more.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree plus two (2) years of experience in general administrative office support or

  • Associates degree plus four (4) years of experience in general administrative office support or

  • High School diploma/GED plus six (6) years of experience in general administrative office support required.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Detail oriented and organized.

  • Excellent interpersonal skills.

  • Strong problem solving skills.

  • Ability to work independently and interdependently; excellent oral and written communication skills.

  • Ability to work under deadline pressure.

  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

  • Coordinates office activities with the office manager and other professional staff within and outside assigned unit.

  • Maintains ACH/UAMS on-duty physician schedule entries in Qgenda.

  • Gathers information for credentialing for the Neonatology Faculty.

  • Oversees completion of the Time and Effort forms for the Neonatology Department.

  • Updates Neonatology faculty profiles on the UAMS website.

  • Enters purchase orders/travel in Workday for Neonatology faculty physicians.

  • Management of IT inventory in Neonatology Department.

  • Assist with didactic meetings and organizing meetings for residents.

  • Requests privileges for department access to various programs and folders for faculty.

  • May perform other duties as assigned.
