Summary of Job Duties: Come join our team of therapy providers located on UAMS' Main Campus in Little Rock Midtown.
The Outpatient Occupational Therapist provides an individualized evaluation, during which the client, family/caregiver, and physical therapist determine the patient's goals, customize interventions to optimize the person's ability to perform functional activities, and continuously assess progress towards goals to ensure goals are being met and/or to modify the intervention plan based on the patient's needs and skills. Functional outcomes data is completed through collection of best practice data via patient questionnaires, performance measures, and documented treatment interventions.
Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Therapy
Arkansas State Board of Occupational Therapy license or eligible to apply for licensure
Preferred Qualifications:
Master's degree OR Doctorate in Occupational Therapy
Proficient treating neurological conditions
Additional Information:
Responsibilities:
Completes direct and indirect patient care to evaluate, create plans of care, coordinate care, educate, and treat patients. The above is driven by best practice assessment and intervention strategies.
Completes best practice patient care documentation and appropriate review of patient PHI prior to implementing and during direct patient care plans for both insurance reimbursement and Joint Commission standards.
