Summary of Job Duties: Come join our dynamic therapy team as a PRN women's health physical therapist. Must be skilled in pelvic floor therapy. $60 hourly rate. Must be available October 2025 through December 2025.

The outpatient physical therapist provides an individualized evaluation, during which the client, family/caregiver, and physical therapist determine the patient's goals, customize interventions to optimize the person's ability to perform functional activities, and continuously assess progress towards goals to ensure goals are being met and/or to modify the intervention plan based on the patient's needs and skills. Functional outcomes data is completed through collection of best practice data via patient questionnaires, performance measures, and documented treatment interventions.

Skills include but are not limited to the following: evaluation and establishing plans of care, therapy reassessments to adjust plans of care when appropriate, functional performance reassessment for discharge planning, screenings to determine appropriateness of therapy, daily treatments which may consist of: gait training, transfer training, functional mobility, balance training, endurance training, strength training, therapeutic exercise, pool therapy, functional performance testing, orthotic measurement, orthotic fitting and adjustment, and patient and family education. Appropriate patient documentation per department, HIPAA and JCAHO standards where applicable.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy if graduated before 2002, OR Master's degree in Physical Therapy if graduated before 2016, OR Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy;

  • Licensed as a Physical Therapist by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy or eligible for licensure

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree OR Doctorate in Physical Therapy PLUS Two (2) years of experience in Physical Therapy

  • Outpatient therapy experience with emphasis in women's health, orthopaedic, and pelvic floor conditions

  • OCS, CSCS, DN Certified


Additional Information:

Responsibilities:

  • Performs comprehensive examination of patients using appropriate tests/measures, completes the evaluation, and formulates an individualized plan of care.

  • Provides evidence-based quality patient treatments and monitors patients for physiological status during sessions.

  • Provides individualized patient education.

  • Documents evaluations, treatment sessions, and education sessions, and submits accurate charges according to regulatory policies.

  • Participates in multidisciplinary and department communication, including patient care discussions and/or meetings and unit/department/hospital meetings.

  • Provides education regarding the physical therapy discipline. Serves as a clinical instructor/mentor and provides education to other disciplines within UAMS and/or the community.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.
