Summary of Job Duties: The Project Coordinator will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day program activities to support grant funded projects in the Institute of Community Health Innovation. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for communicating with community organizations, organizing meetings, and ensuring grant activities are met. This position will be responsible for maintaining detailed records of activities for program records. The Project Coordinator will work closely with Project Managers, the Assistant Director, and evaluation team members to track project progress and ensure the successful implementation and completion of grant objectives. Projects include expanding access to breastfeeding friendly locations, healthy foods, and physical activity resources. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for reaching out to target communities, developing relationships with partner organizations, and implementing community based activities. The Project Coordinator should be able to take direction and develop an action plan for implementation.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma/GED plus seven (7) years administration or program coordination experience.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid AR drivers' license required with current automobile insurance and reliable car for moderate travel to UAMS in Little Rock, AR and surrounding communities (mileage reimbursed at the current state mileage reimbursement rate) if a state vehicle is not available. Occasional out-of-state travel.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in related field and one (1) year of administrative or program coordination experience.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Must have attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities at once.
  • Detail oriented and Organized.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem solving skills.

Additional Information:

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate monthly meetings with community organizations, create meeting agendas, manage partner communications, and meeting schedule. Work with team to develop detailed program timeline. Communicate regular updates to both internal and external partners. Conduct outreach to community partner organizations to implement community based action plan related to increasing access to breastfeeding friendly locations, healthy foods, and physical activity resources. 
  • Maintain project metrics tracking, including progress towards meeting pilot project goals and maintaining up to date records of project development. Work with the evaluation team to implement evaluation tools to track impact of project activities. Contribute to regular reporting to funding agency and program officer. 
  •  Implement cmmunity based assessments to understand barriers and facilitators to accessing breastfeeding friendly sites, healthy foods, and physical activity resources. Implement action plan to expand access to these community resources.
