Summary of Job Duties: The Senior Employee Relations Consultant serves as a strategic partner and advisor to management and employees on matters related to employee relations, conflict resolution, and workplace policies. This role requires a deep understanding of employment law, company policies, and best practices in employee relations to effectively mitigate risk and promote a positive work environment. The Senior Employee Relations Consultant collaborates with HR business partners, legal counsel, and senior leadership to develop and implement proactive strategies that support organizational objectives and foster a culture of fairness, respect, and accountability.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in human resources, Business Administration or related field of study.

  • Four (4) years of experience in Human Resources or related with two (2) of those years working directly in Employee Relations.

  • Must have a strong understanding of Employee Relations, Title VII, FMLA, ADA, conducting investigations/report writing, and project management is required. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office.

  • Great analytical, communication, interpersonal, and technical skills.

Responsibilities:

  • Counsels/Coaches/Mediates Employee Relations issues with employees and or supervisors on related topics along with providing proper guidance to get to a reasonable resolution.
  • Works proactively with service lines to ensure compliance with policies and procedures.
  • Conducts employment law research, interviews and investigations on related issues as requested by Employee Relations leadership or client/business management.  
  • Updates and develops practices and guidelines as necessary related to Employee Relations topics as directed by Employee Relations leadership.
  • Researches EEOC allegations and effectively writes reports.
  • Writes effective investigation reports.
  • Works to proactively plan, develop, manage, and monitor initiatives aligned with DPC and Vision 2029.
  • Monitors project progress and set deadlines.
  • Problem solving as issues arise along with having awareness to bring to attention of Sr. Director prior to escalation.  
  • Works to ensure stakeholder satisfaction is present and effectively communicates gaps to key individuals for awareness and works to strategically close gaps.     
  • Performs administrative duties to include all critical documentation related to Employee Relations, ADA, and employment law related work to ensure proper recordkeeping.
  • Preps documents for scanning and performs quality control.
  • Creates reports and verifies data as necessary.
  • Effectively presents campus trainings.
  • Performs other duties as assigned and required.
