Summary of Job Duties: The Senior IRB Administrator relies on a thorough knowledge of human subject protection regulations, policies and best practices to facilitate ethical human subject research. The Senior IRB Administrator's responsibilities include prereviewing and reviewing research; training others; supporting IRB meetings and general IRB functions; maintaining IRB reviewer records and rosters; internal quality assurance/improvement activities; maintaining and improving their knowledge base by pursuing certification and continuing education, and acting as an ambassador to the entire research community.
Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years experience of experience in human subject research and/or IRB administration.

Preferred Qualifications (Non-essential for the job –the applicant may possess at the time of hire) 

Education, general: Advanced degree (master's or doctorate)

Licenses, certificates, or registration:

CRS, AdvCRS, CIP , or equivalent certification at time of hire. Must obtain CRS within 1 year of hire and Advanced CRS when eligible. (Note: CRS and AdvCRS are certifications internal to UAMS.) Obtaining CIP within 18 months of eligibility to take the exam is expected.
