Job Summary

 

This role requires an individual with a profound technical understanding and experience in the design, deployment, and management of sophisticated data center network infrastructures. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring the scalability, performance, and security of our network, crucial for the seamless operation of our healthcare services.

  

Essential Job Functions

  • Architect and deploy sophisticated data center network infrastructures using Cisco and Palo Alto Networks solutions
  • Design and implement complex routing protocols (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP) for optimal network performance
  • Configure and manage Palo Alto Networks firewalls to enhance network security and compliance
  • Utilize Cisco ACI for network automation, application agility, and data center security
  • Implement virtualized network functions (VNFs) and software-defined networking (SDN) solutions
  • Lead network migration and upgrade projects, minimizing downtime and ensuring seamless integration
  • Perform advanced network diagnostics and troubleshooting using network analysis tools
  • Develop and enforce network security policies in line with compliance standards (HIPAA, NIST)
  • Mentor junior network engineering staff and foster a culture of continuous learning and innovation
  • Participate in on-call rotation and respond to network-related incidents promptly
  • Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and vendor updates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum 10 years' experience in network engineering within datacenter environments
  • Advanced certifications in Cisco (CCNP, CCIE) and Palo Alto Networks (PCNSE) technologies
  • In-depth knowledge of network protocols, IP subnetting, and complex network architectures
  • Proficiency in network security principles, firewall management, and intrusion detection systems
  • Experience with network automation and orchestration tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform)
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • Minimal travel required to offsite locations
